Alain Indria always loved the pure, refined taste of extra virgin olive oil. But also the simple pleasure of good butter on a slice of bread. However, he had never found a refined, natural, and truly gourmet alternative based on olive oil. So, he developed it himself.
This is how Ohlive came to be: an artisanal olive oil butter with a soft, spreadable texture, a pure Mediterranean character, and a quiet luxury that you can taste. The idea grew from taste, but also from daily life—from the lunch table at home and the sandwiches he prepared for his three children.
Ohlive is therefore more than just a product. It is a story of taste, family, craftsmanship, and the desire to make every meal just that little bit more special.

Alain as a passionate chef
Alain Indria is a chef and food creator with years of experience in healthy cooking, vegetarian and plant-based cuisine, and working with pure, natural ingredients. Taste is always paramount: refined, full, and truly delicious. He cooked on television with, among others, Piet Huysentruyt and also appeared in De Garde van Gert. He also cooked privately for international names such as Sting, Moby, Maxi Jazz, and Willem Dafoe. This combination of pure products, healthy cuisine, and gastronomic taste also forms the foundation of Ohlive.

From olive oil to finished olive oil butter, every step of the production process is handcrafted in Antwerp, Belgium.

Made from carefully selected Picual extra virgin olive oil, this variant showcases the natural beauty of olive oil in a new, softer and more generous texture. The result is smooth and refined, yet vibrant in character.
On the palate, N°1 Ohlive Pure is fresh, green and elegant, with a subtle peppery note and a remarkably clean finish. It is the most essential version of Ohlive: simple, refined and deeply satisfying.
Spread generously on warm sourdough bread with a touch of fleur de sel, or use as a finishing touch for grilled fish, vegetables or a dish that still needs one quiet, rich note.
